Conventions so far: Anime-Marathon, DoKomi, Animecon & Nisa-Con (picture heavy)

Hello my dearest readers,

I know, I know, my blog was "sleeping" the last few months again. One of the reasons for this is, that I had no time to wear Lolita fashion and this blog should be more dedicated to Lolita fashion. Another reason that I have less time. But I still want to write here, so I decided to write about the conventions I visited after LBM/MCC in march so far. Some of you like to see my cosplay-related things, so here I go:

Anime-Marathon 2015 - 02.05.2015 (Königslutter, Germany):
Anime-Marathon is a smaller convention with a Hotel as location. I visited it last year and I really liked it, so we decided to come back this year. It was also special, because I was ask to take part in the DCM preliminary decision (DCM = Deutsche Cosplay Meisterschaft = German Cosplay Championship) as a jury team member. It was a great experience for me! I've never done judging in a championship before, so I was glad that I got a chance to do it. Well, I haven't see much of the convention itself that day, because being part of the DCM-Team means being busy almost the whole day, but it was okay for me. :) I've also worn my Ryuko Matoi (Kill la kill) cosplay again and my dear friend Inulein joined me as Mako Makanshoku, at least we had time to take a few pictures together.

DoKomi 2015 - 23.05.-24.05.2015 (Düsseldorf, Germany):

My next convention was DoKomi in Düsseldorf, it's a bigger convention and also one of my favorites. My boyfriend and I visited Cleo and her boyfriend, we slept at their place and together we visited DoKomi both days. DoKomi wasn't that awesome this year, because somehow my mood was gloomy, especially on saturday. I have no idea why and I noticed that some of my friends had a gloomy mood, too. Sunday was more exciting, I also had a great RWBY group on sunday. <3 The convention itself felt also stressful, because it seemed like everyone is running from A to B the whole day. Next year we definitly need to plan our days more relaxing. But all in all DoKomi was also nice this year and we had a lovely time with Cleo, her boyfriend and the others we've seen. :)

My cosplays during DoKomi were Mirai Kuriyama (Kyoukai no Kanata) on saturday and Ruby Rose (RWBY) on sunday.

Animecon 2015 - 12.06.-14.06.2015 (The Hague, Netherlands):
Animecon this year was my first non-german convention, that's why I was veeery excited. The decision to visit this convention was spontaneous, because Cleo told us they still have room and were searching for friends to come to the hague. Well, all I can say is that Animecon wasn't the best convention for me this year. Of course it was a little different comparing with german conventions and we had fun, but it was very expensive for us and because it was also my first time being in the netherlands it wasn't planned very well... Somehow I would like to come back next year, but I would handle the weekend a little different. But all in all it was a nice experience and we had a great shooting at the beach. <3 My cosplays were: on friday Rikka Takanashi (Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai) in a bikini (my first time wearing a bikini cosplay), on saturday: first half Compa (Hyperdimension Neptunia) and second half Mirai Kuriyama. On sunday: Alice Liddell (Alice: Madness returns).

NiSa-Con 2015 - 04.07.2015 (Brunswick, Germany):

And the last convention I visited so far. It's in my homwtown and also a small one, but it's always relaxing for us to go there. Unfortunately it was very hot that day and not very cosplay-friendly. But we managed it to take pretty pictures in the park and later we changed into normal clothes, went eating ice-cream and of course enjoyed the AMV happy hour in the evening. :)

I also made a spontaneous Juvia Loxar (Fairy Tail) cosplay for the convention: a white summer dress, which was a very good choice.

Okay, that's it so far. I know this blogpost is picture heavy and I just talked about the conventions in a few words. And again no Lolita fashion this time. I hope I'll get the chance to wear Lolita again soon. My next convention will be Connichi in september and I'm already excited for it, although I have a lot of cosplaywork to do. 

I still hope you like to see my cosplay and here about my convention-life. I'm also thinking about changing this blog more into a Cosplay and Lolita blog (and of course some daily fashion), but I'm not sure about it yet.

Cosplay & Convention: LBM/MCC 2015

Hello my dearest readers,

a few posts before I ask, if you still like reading about my life as a cosplayer and about visiting conventions. And some of you still like this content, so here comes another cosplay and convention post. :)

Last month - 13.03.-15.03. - I visited the bookfair in Leipzig (aka Manga Comic Convention) again. It's still one of my favorite conventions. Making my cosplays was hard this years, because I had a lot to do for university and not much time as I wanted for my cosplays. So I was only able to make two new costumes for me and one for my boyfriend, also I had to rush a few things and they didn't turn out as perfect as I wanted. It was so stressful: nights with less sleep, less social contact... and cosworking they whole day. But in the end it was worth it! 
We had a lot of fun in our costumes and I'm happy my boyfriend really likes how his new costume turned out. I also fulfilled myself a small dream and made a remake of Alice Liddell's classic dress from my favorite game "Alice: Madness returns". My cosplays for the LBM/MCC were on friday Alice in her classic dress and on saturday and sunday I was Ryuko Matoi from the anime Kill la Kill together with my boyfriend as Uzu Sanageyama (also Kill la Kill).

So, we arrived on thursday and went to the convention on friday. Friday is always a relaxing day, because there aren't lots of people, you can easily walk around and take a lot at all the booths and things, you can buy. Also there is enough space for taking pictures. I felt great as Alice, even though carrying my Hobby Horse the whole day is hard. :')
Saturday and sunday were more crowded, especially saturday... it was hard to walk around, searching for others and more... so many people! x_X
Sunday was more relaxed again, we also had time for a small shopping tour that day. 
All in all the convention was awesome! I had so much time with friends and I also met new people, I had fun in my costumes and we also took some pretty nice photos. <3

I was sad when the convention was over, but I'm already looking foward to upcoming conventions and I'm also excited to start with new cosplay projects. I also decided to make a change in my way of cosworking: these stressful days before the conventions aren't good in any way! They pull me down and sometimes I don't have fun in cosworking any more...

So, I decided to start earlier with my costumes, to reduce stress and keep the fun up. I hope it'll work and since next conventions are coming in May I'm going to start with upcoming cosplays this month. :)

Convention Talk: Connichi 2014

Hello my dear readers,

it's been such a long time since my last entry in this blog, but there was no Lolita meet up and I wasn't motivated to post my daily outfits. >_< I'm sorry, I like this blog, but sometimes I forget about it. I hope I can change that in the future. And normally during autumn and winter I wear more Lolita again, I also hope I'll have some time to visit a few meet ups again. :) And I bought some super pretty black velvet, which I want to turn into a winter lolita dress.
Anyway, in this entry I just want to show a simple daily outfit and the biggest convention in Germany - Connichi - was almost two weeks ago, so I'll write a bit about my cosplays and the convention. 

Let's talk about Connichi 2014: I was there for three days and I really enjoyed it this year! Last year it just wasn't "my convention", but this year is was awesome! Well, there were also bad moments: it was very cold on saturday and on sunday I fell down in my cosplay, ripped my knee and tights - I'm so damn clumpsy! >__< - but there were maaany great moments! <3 On friday I wore Rikka Takanashi from Chuunibyou with my boyfriend and Romy, saturday I was Ruby Rose from RWBY with an awesome group and on sunday I wore my (improved) Steam Dress Alice cosplay again.

I felt very busy during the convention: Meeting friends and new people, taking pictures, some filming, exploring the convention itself... so much to do! And I haven't met all people I wanted to. But this convention was a great experience, it felt so much bigger than the years before and I love cosplaying more than I ever did before. :) <3

NiCon 2013: Last convention this year

Hello my lovely readers,

today I'm writing a few words about the NiCon 2013 in Hannover (Germany), which was the last convention this year for me. First of all: it was one of my best conventions this year! I had a lot of bad moments, especially during some bigger conventions. But the NiCon - it's a small convention - showed me that cosplay is also fun and passion. :)

I finally wore my Compa costume - Compa is a character from the cute game Hyperdimension Neptunia - I planned to cosplay her already in early summer this year. But I put the costume often away and stopped working on it. But... for NiCon I finished it - It's not perfect and I have to improve a few parts - but I'm glad I finished it. <3 
I thought Hyperdimension Neptunia is unknown and I never expected someone might know the character I'm cosplaying. Though a lot of people identified me as Compa and praised my costume. That was just... amazing for me! *_* I also felt very good being Compa and walking around in that costume, I think I'll wear it again.

Besides that cosplaying I met many people and cosplay friends. Talked a lot and I also met new people. :) And my sister Hanabi was also there. I'm always happy meeting me sister, because since I've moved away I don't see her often. So it's always great spending time with her. :)
Of course we made a lot of pictures and just had a good time... aaaaand I bought a cute Alpaca! <3 It's light blue with a lilac hat, Hanabi bought an Alpaca in lilac with a light blue hat. Alpacas are sooo cute and fluffy! :)

My convention time will start again 2014 when the bookfair in Leipzig starts in march. I hope future conventions will be as great as the NiCon was. I'm motivated for new cosplays and I think I'll also wear Lolita again on conventions. :)

FBM 2013: Finally wearing Lolita again!

Hello my lovely readers,

today I want to write a few words about the bookfair in Frankfurt, which was around two weeks ago. It was my first time at the FBM and I was a little bit amazed. I have been quite a few times at the bookfair in Leipzig (LBM), but the FBM is bigger and has such great places for taking pictures. Even the LBM has more anime/manga/comic stuff, the FBM has a pretty "cosplay corner" and also booths with anime/manga figures and more. Besides that great location I had a lot of fun and a good time with my friends Fuwari and Romy (and of course the others I spent the weekend with). :)

And of course I finally had a chance to wear lolita again! I decided to go with my beloved Wonder Story apron skirt. <3 It's been a long time since I wore Sweet Lolita, so at first I felt a little strange in it, but this feeling changend quickly and I was very happy wearing it. Unfortunately I haven't seen a lot lolitas. :(

On FBM sunday I was part of a super cute Tamako Market cosplay group. Fot those who don't know what it is: Tamako Market is an anime by KyoAni with a group of sweet girls - check out this for more: Tamako Market. I was so happy beeing part of this group, we took a lot of pretty pictures, had fun and I got filmed for the first time by a videographer! *_* (Check out his YouTube Channel: MexxKite) The video isn't online yet, I'll show you, when it is. But I can show you some pictures of our cosplay group and my cosplay from sunday:

I was so happy that I could be Shiori in this group and I hope to cosplay with this girls again someday. <3

Connichi 2013: A convention with ups and downs (Picture heavy!)

Hello my lovely readers,

to my german readers: "I wish you all a very good day of german unity!" :) 
So, I have some muffins in the oven and I thought I could use this time to write an entry about this year's Connichi in Kassel (Germany). Fot those, who don't know, the Connichi is the biggest Anime/Manga and also japanese lifestyle convention in Germany.

I was very excited about it, because I've planned to wear one of my bigger cosplay dreams. But the two weeks before Connichi were suu~uuper stressful. x_X I had to finish two cosplays (one for my boyfriend and one for me) and I had no time for doing sports and so on. I was sewing almost 24 hours a day and had less sleep. I just hoped it will be worth it... but everything turned out differently.
First my cosplay plan for that weekend: Vivi Nefertari (One Piece) on friday, Female Hunter (Ragnarok Online) on saturday and Ingrid (Street Fighter) on sunday. Thankfully we could sleep at the place from a good friend of my boyfriend. She was so nice to us. :)

Friday was a more relaxing day. My Vivi cosplay was a chillin' version with a blue shirt and some shorts, only my wig was heavy and not that easy to wear. My boyfried wore his Ruffy cosplay (he was my cosplay partner the whole weekend x'D). On friday we saw our friends often and had the most fun. In retrospect, Friday was the best Connichi day.

And then came saturday. I was so happy to finally wear my female Hunter cosplay, because I worked a lot for it. >_< I is bellyfree and I really hate my belly, but I gave my best to make it look... okay. x''D My Hunter and my boyfriends Ranger cosplay, both were hard work. But the weather on saturday was rainy, cold and I wasn't in a good mood. :( So in the end we don't have that much of pictures and our cosplays wasn't perfect. I noticed that I still need to improve some parts. Here are a few pictures:

And then sunday, I wore Ingrid from Street Fighter again. She's still one of my favorite cosplays and very nice to wear. The weather was better again and my mood was also better. But I still felt a little sad, because saturday went so... wrong. Sunday was also the last day of the convention and on saturday and sunday I didn't see my friends that often. :( At least we have some very pretty pictures from sunday:

In conclusion: This Connichi was so full of ups and downs. I learned a lot about cosplay and friendship - and I hope next conventions will be better. One big thing this year was that I met Yaya Han! *_* She is one of my big cosplay idols and I got an photo with her and an autograph. And I saw a lot of friends during that weekend and also met new people. :) Not everything was bad. Maybe the future conventions will be with less bad moments and with more good moments! <3 I was so unhappy with myself as a cosplayer during Connichi, I hope I can change this next year and I hope I'll be happy again with myself in a cosplay.

That was my LBM 2013

Hello my lovely readers,

now it's time for an entry about my days in Leipzig at the bookfair this year. First of all: it was a great weekend and I had three (almost four) amazing days in Leipzig. 
Thanks to all I've met at the LBM! ♥ And a big thanks to Sarah (Romy) and Jasmin (Fuwari), who were great flat-mates. ♥

Last thursday my boyfriend, Sarah and I startet around 12 o'clock and drove to Leizipg. At first we went to our flat, it was already 3 pm, so there was not much time left for visiting the bookfair. But, after unpacked our bags in the flat, we took the train and went to the bookfair. 
We only had around two hours left and checked the things from the retailers in the Anime/Manga/Japan area. There were so many things and I love collecting pretty Anime/Manga figures. My boyfriend bought me a super cute Orihime Inoue (BLEACH) figure! *_*♥

Then friday! Finally wearing a cosplay again! I wore my Ranka Lee stage outfit (know as the 'Miss Macross' dress). We arrived before noon and it was so empty, so we used the time to take photos. The light was great and we made very pretty pictures. :)
The rest of the day we just walked around, met some friends and visited the retailers area again. 
In the evening finally my cosplay partner Saskia (Inulein) arrived, she made a Sheryl Nome cosplay. We had a little photoshoot again and I'm so happy with the pictures, that came out. *^*
Later we went to the main station and waited for Jasmin. Back in our flat we cooked noodles and watched TV.

Saturday was the day I most wated for, because I wore my new cosplay, my dream cosplay: Alice Liddell in her 'Silk Maiden' dress. This cosplay was hard work and I'm so happy that I could finally wear it. And I was so happy about the compliments I got for it! Thank you very much! ♥
We spent the whole saturday in the main hall, because it was so full. We met a lot of friends and took pictures.
In the evening, after we changed into our normal clothes, we went to the city and at Pizza in a nice restaurant. :)

Sunday was the last day of the bookfair and I wore my 'Chess Chocolate' JSK, but unfortunately my wig did not what I wanted... and so I was very unhappy with my hairstyle. :(
Anyway, we used the time in the morning againg for a little photoshoot. And we went to the retailers area again. I bought myself a cute Sayaka Miki (Mahou shojo madoka magica) figure.
I met a lot of friends again and took some pictures with them. But I felt unhappy with me in Lolita that day, maybe conventions are better for cosplay. I'm not sure about this at the moment...
Around 4 pm we left the bookfair and started our tour back home.

It was a great LBM and I'm very excited about making new cosplays, I already have a lot of plans. :)
I'm so happy that I met a lot of friends. Well, the not everything was perfect, but I hope I can change these things, so that the next convention will be better. :)
